Fun Activities for Teams In A Remote Work Environment
Companies all over the world are getting creative with their work at home team bonding activities. These are some of our favorites!
“MTV Cribs” home tours
Remember the show MTV cribs? For those of you who don’t it’s basically a personal tour of celebrity homes. Teams across the world are giving tours of their homes during their morning virtual meetings and we’re loving it! Need some inspiration? Google MTV cribs and see what pops up!
Work at home photo contests
You might have seen these on social media. We think it’s a great idea! Basically, employees submit a photo of their work from home situation. Some photos might have kids peeking their heads into the photo, others may have a cat that constantly lays across a keyboard. Whatever the situation, it’s a fun way to share a little bit of home life and connect while working remote.
Virtual gaming happy hours
Chances are, you may already be having virtual happy hours with friends. This is also a great way to connect and have fun with your team. There are many ways to play games online. Our favorite is jackbox.tv because you can join a meeting in google hangouts and play directly from your phone at the same time. If you don’t have access to games, you can just turn it into a regular happy hour and ask questions or play trivia. The possibilities are endless!
Fun presentations
This is a thing and we love it. People are making presentations of things they’re passionate about and virtually presenting it to their teams. This is a great way to get to know each other and practice presentation skills while sharing a few laughs. Love the show Friends? How about 90s Hip Hop? This is a great way to share that passion with your coworkers!
Virtual workout or meditation classes
This may not be for everyone but it’s still a fun way to stay connected and release some positive endorphins. How about starting your Friday morning team meeting with a virtual mediation class? Help center your team in a zen way.
